Woman in urban economy: exhibition at Yerevan Metro
On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, March 8, photo exhibition entitled “Woman in urban economy” has been opened at Republic Square station of Yerevan Metro after Karen Demirchyan. 32 photos telling about the employment and role of women in different sectors starting from soviet era to the present days have been presented at the exhibition organized with the initiative of Yerevan Municipality in cooperation with Yerevan History Museum. The exhibits were provided by Yerevan History Museum as well as by various individuals and organizations. The RA MoD “Zorakan” ensemble opened the exhibition and congratulated women with its songs. Ruben Hovhannisyan, Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Staff of Yerevan Municipality, Armine Sargsyan, Director of the Yerevan History Museum attended the event. The organizers noted in their speeches that the surprises on the occasion of Women’s Month will continue and other museums will also hold interesting exhibitions. “Woman in urban economy” exhibition will be open until April 7.
