Martakert positions come under intense shelling from Azerbaijan
Tensions along the Line of Contact between the Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces continued throughout the night, this according to the Defence Ministry of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. According to the report, Azerbaijan fired more than 2700 rounds at Armenian positions from firearms of different caliber yesterday and last night. Azerbaijan also used mortars and grenade launchers along the entire length of the Contact Line. In particular, Armenian military units stationed in the northeastern direction (near Martakert) came under intense shelling from Azerbaijan on March 31 and last night. The NKR Defence Ministry says its frontline units retaliated and successfully pushed back the Azerbaijani military, forcing them to refrain from further attempts to aggravate the situation.
