"Keep your hands off Artsakh" initiative to hold march on April 21
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is due to arrive in Armenia on April 21 to discuss with Armenia authorities a Kremlin peace plan on the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. On April 21, an initiative calling itself “Keep your hands off Artsakh” is holding a march from Liberty Square in Yerevan to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Russian Embassy in Armenia to pose their demands ahead of the planned meeting of the Armenia and Russia foreign ministers. “Realizing the seriousness of the situation and the threat of anti-Armenian programs that can harm the Republic of Artsakh which was recaptured and defended by bloodshed we announce that
- Armenia and Artsakh will not an inch of land to On the contrary, we have a vital need to create a wider area security to guarantee the security of our people and protect them from Azerbaijan
- soldiers of Artsakh have been and remain the main guarantee for peace and security of Artsakh while international peacekeepers should be deployed in Azerbaijan to protect native peoples there, including Lezgins, Talish and Avar people
- we demand to ensure prompt and safe return of Armenians who fled Azerbaijan, including Shahumyan region, to the Armenian territories occupied by Azerbaijan
- recognize Artsakh’s independence in line with international law
- we demand that Russia stop supplying Azerbaijan with newest offensive weapons of mass destruction which have been used and continue to be used against Armenia and Arsakh," the initiative said in a statement.
