Lavrov, Kerry talk on the phone, discuss conflicts in Karabakh and Syria
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry discussed over the phone ways to resolve the conflict in Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. The source says the two men discussed the efforts of the Russian Federation and the United States, as members of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG), towards the strengthening the ceasefire there. Sergei Lavrov and John Kerry also congratulated each other on Victory Day, stressing the importance of preserving the historical truth about World War II. They also discussed other issues, including the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
