Waters surrendered, raven didn’t come back: Artik under rule of stones (video)
Ten days after the flood people already joke about what happened in Artik ‘Noah’s Ark passed here during the same time when Pope was in Yerevan. Then the waters surrendered, and as one of the locals says the raven didn’t come back. First, a shepherd phoned Artik Mayor ‘Large amounts of water are coming towards the city, meet them!’ When the Municipality went to meet the waters, the waters had already been in the city. Today the upper part of the city is under the rule of mud and stones brought by the waters. Waters brought with them crushed stone and stone of mines in the mountains and blocked the main gully of the city. After entering the city waters felt themselves freer. They entered houses, farms and basements. Livestock of Artavazd Karakhanyan were affected badly in the flood.
