Upper Lars checkpoint to be open until 8:00 p.m.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia reports that the Upper Lars checkpoint is open to all types of vehicles and exporters of fruit and vegetables can freely arrange the transportation of products. The ministry says the road will be open until 8:00 p.m. Yerevan time. Lars reopened to traffic after being blocked by a massive landslide on June 24 . Hundreds of people and trucks remained stranded at the mountainous checkpoint in the past two weeks after the closure of the checkpoint.
