The parents remain dissatisfied with the education system in Armenia. They compare it with theirs and again state that in the past it was better. “Our graduates were different, now pupils graduate with excellent marks, but when you talk to them, they aren’t aware of anything.” “When we were schoolchildren, the education system was more pleasant, more meaningful.” 12-year education is mandatory in Armenia. The specialists have explained its necessity for many times, but the parents, though, don’t accept that system, “It isn’t good especially for the boys, after graduation they immediately leave for military service.” “At every age you must live according to your age, at the age, when they must have been students, they still attend school.” A woman, who has 17 years’ pedagogical experience, says that the only drawback of this education system is the manuals, “There are too many terms and they are rather complex.” After summer holidays it is hard to get used to the new regime for most pupils. The most active pupils, who are half-asleep, ask the teachers not to overload them, promising that they will get only high marks. Watch details in the video!
