Gutan Armenian Folk Song and Dance Festival to be held in Cascade
Gutan folk music & dance festival of Armenia will be held in Cafesjian Sculpture Garden(Cascade complex) at 7p.m., September 28. A number of song and dance ensembles, incliding Maratuk, Akunk, Karin, Sasna Dzrer, Veradardz, Van, Tsovak, Vostan, Nubar, Gorani and others, will participate in the festival. They will perform songs and dances from different regions of Armenia, as well as ritual episodes. Short films telling about the activities of distinguished Armenian singers, dancers and musicians will be screened for the attendees. The main goal of the festival is to preserve and disseminate traditional songs and dances and make our cultural heritage more recognizable to the younger generation.
