Some kind of flu virus spread in Armenia (video)
“At this moment there is no virus in Armenia,” told today Armenia’s chief infection specialist Ara Asoyan at the meeting with journalists. According to him, at this moment rhinovirus is spread in our country; rhinovirus is an acute respiratory distress syndrome, associated with the common cold (flu). General symptoms of rhinovirus are weakness, headaches, fever, sore throat; cough; runny nose. “But I am not worried as there aren’t any troubling statistics. Besides, school holidays have started today and this is the best preventive measure,” he noted. Asoyan also added that during this season chickenpox and scarlet fever are spread in Armenia, but again there is no need to worry about this. The specialist advised not to go out during this virus and wear a mask in the urgent cases: “Virus can be spread over 120 cm, hence wearing a mask is very important but it must be changed every 8 hours”.
