Our Spendarian: Exhibition dedicated to great composer opens in Yerevan
An exhibition entitled “Our Spendarian” opened at the Alexander Spendarian House-Museum on November 1. The start of the event was announced at the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Alexander Spendiarian.
The participants visited the tomb of the great composer where they laid flowers at his grave.
Marine Otaryan, director of the Spendarian House-Museum, says they have been preparing for the exhibition for a long time.
At the theatre, the attendees the live performance of the composer's works.
Alexander Spendiarian has his unique place in the history of Armenian classic music. The founder of Armenian national symphonic music has written more than 40 songs and romances, symphonic pieces and one opera (Almast), which is one of the best operas in the world.
