The advocacy forum for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) is held at the Elite Plaza, Yerevan, Armenia on November 17th. Social representatives including leaders of 6 political parties, religion, women, and youth organizations will gather together to develop an environment of peace in Armenia and globe. Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), an international non-governmental organization registered in the United Nations Department of Public Information (UN DPI), and Rt. Hon. Hrant Bagratyan, the former Prime Minister of Armenia, are the organizers of this event for introduction and promotion of the DPCW to Armenia. The DPCW, drafted by HWPL and its International Law Peace Committee with global experts, addresses conflict resolution based on preventing war-related behaviors, safeguarding religious and ethnic identities, and encouraging a culture of peace through international cooperation. The World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit, with its 2nd year of peace advocacy movement, was the open access for members of international organizations, governments and civil society to global efforts to introduce a new norm of peace through the DPCW. Currently, 702,874 global citizens in 173 countries have signed their names to support it. photo1_they-are-joining-in-legislate-peace-campaign Rt. Hon Bagratyan at the WARP Summit last September said, "The DPCW will be a good instrument against extremism, terrorism, war, and associations that will be good base for sustainability of peace. And together we should create a pressure on that to have this declaration law adopted by UN.” photo2_rt-hon-hrand-vagratyan-the-advisory-committee-of-hwpl Advocacy forums of the DPCW have become global attention when recognizing the necessity of change from the repetition of conflict to settlement of sustainable peace through instruments and mechanisms to buttress the enhancement of human dignity based on peace. Starting from Palestine, Armenia, Nigeria, and the Philippines, such a comprehensive discussion of peace in the global community will pave the way to making a better world. *Title: Advocacy Forum for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War *Time: 16:00-18:00, 17th November *Venue: Mantashev Ballroom 2nd Floor, Elite Plaza, Yerevan, Armenia
