Teachers dissatisfied with acting principal (video)
Tensions continue to heat up at Primary School N38 in Armenia’s Gyumri city. According to the established order, the board of the school management held a meeting today. All the eight members of the board were present at the meeting. A contest was declared to fill the vacant position of the school principal. The competition will be held on January 24, 2017. The minutes will be forwarded to the regional governor’s office of Shirak marz. The term of office of the primary school principal, Gohar Shahbazyan, expired on November 24. By a decision of Shirak Governor Hovsep Simonyan, Arpine Nikoghosyan was appointed as acting principal of the school. The teaching staff disapproved of the decision and does not want to work with the acting principal. They have even addressed a letter to Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan with their demand.
