Postanjyan shouts at Pashinyan: Heated debates at National Assembly over "1000 dram" bill (video)
Armenian lawmaker Nikol Pashinyan today spoke in favour of the bill which proposes that each employed citizen in Armenia pay AMD 1000 from his monthly salary to the military. Just the moment Pashinyan said the money will be sent to the families of soldiers Zaruhi Postanjyan of the Heritage party interrupted him, saying, “You are telling a lie, you know very well where the money will be spent. We shall pay it to the authorities, not to our servicemen.” “Zaruhi, let me explain to you,” said Pashinyan, “No one can force me to do the opposite thing. I support the bill. Our army does not need charity or compassion.” “Well said, Mr. Pashinyan,” NA Vice-Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said reminding a popular song by Russian rock band “Mashina Vremeni.”
