Pilots with disabilities will not stop their struggle (video)
Pilots, who became disabled during their service, on January 30 received the 30-page copy of the Government’s draft decision from the Ministry of Social Affairs and which is planned to be presented to the approval of the Government. Former pilot Jivan Alaverdyan today during the protest action outside the Government building told “A1+” that the draft presents how the payments are made in different countries, where a company similar to “Armenian airlines” is recognized bankrupt, “For example, in Russia the state undertook that functions and makes payments at the expense of the state budget.” In spite of the draft decision, the pilots are not going to stop their struggle, as they don’t believe that the issue can be solved. “I pin my hopes on Karen Karapetyan, who wants to find a solution to the issue, which has lasted for 13 years; but again Davit Harutyunyan heads the issue and he fully knows all the instances, he is the author of all the legislative gaps and violations,” said J. Alaverdyan. The pilots, realizing that taking into account the country’s social-economic situation, understand that paying the whole amount of previous years can become a problem for the state budget, are ready to freeze that money, on condition that hereafter they will receive their money every month.
