Lack of festive moods in Yerevan streets (video)
Despite the festive events taking place in Armenia, people in Yerevan do not feel festive moods and a festive atmosphere in the Armenian capital. Yerevan citizen Ogsen Poghosyan says people would not even remember about the holiday but for one or two programs on TV. “In the years of the Soviet Union, people celebrated Victory Day with great enthusiasm and solemnity. They participated in a military parade, they went to dances, sand and had a good time. Today people are sad and depressed,” he said. Lyudmila Poghosyan says that unlike her contemporaries, young people have less information about the Great Patriotic War.
