Pinocchio in eyes of Armenian kids (video)
“Sewing friendship”, festival aiming at promoting reading, which has been initiated by the house-museum of Hovhannes Tumanyan, aims at uniting the children around the world though literature. According to the words of the Director of the museum Narine Tukhikyan, they have chosen Pinocchio as their first character, as there are many important messages in that tale- listening to parents, not telling lies. Children taking part in the festival were engaged in creative activities, using Pinocchio’s image. “We have concrete nominations- puppet making, painting, carpentry, Pinocchio’s nose for various uses, for example, Pinocchio’s nose as a hanger, spoon, vase,” Narine Tukhikyan, Director of the house-museum of Hovhannes Tumanyan, told “A1+”. At the end of the festival all the participants received a statue of Pinocchio, as well as intellectual presents- books, games.
