"Khachaturian meets jazz" program
On November 7, Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall will host a unique and unforgettable concert within the framework of the 5th Khachaturian International Festival. The State Youth Orchestra of Armenia and Armenian State Jazz Band will present favorite “Khachaturian meets jazz” program. The audience will have a chance to enjoy jazz arrangements of Aram Khachaturian’s compositions.
The program will also include pieces from “Gayaneh”, “Spartacus” Ballets, “Masquerade” Drama. Arrangements are made by Vahagn Hayrapetyan, Armen Hyusnunts, Martin Ulikhanyan and Andranik Berberyan.
Vahagn Hayrapetyan (piano) and Armen Hyusnunts (saxophone) will perform as soloists. Conductors: Sergey Smbatyan, Armen Hyusnunts.
