Boycott will not solve the issue - Arman Gharibyan (video)
Independent journalist Arman Gharibyan stated during a press conference that the ban on the work of journalists in the Yerevan Council of Elders' session contradicts the law on mass media, and they will apply to the Constitutional Court to solve the issues of the law. Yerevan Press Club President Boris Navasardyan sees two options for solving the problem: "Either we should address the president or the Constitutional Court." In response to a journalist's question whether the boycott can help achieve great results, the Yerevan Press Club president did not give a clear answer. "It is possible only when being united, but I do not think that all media will boycott the coverage of the sessions, some will definitely go." Arman Gharibyan added that the boycott would not solve the issue as a lot of money from the budget of the municipality is allocated to the official coverage, so the boycott would promote the work of the propaganda machine.
