Four children in roofless house (video)
Aghasi Grigoryan, the father of the Grigoryan family living in the Arevatsag village of Lori province, earns only 36,000 drams salary. "I'm doing the garbage collection. What I should do with that 36,000 drams: should I buy flour, potatoes, or send the child to school?" The family is in extreme poverty. After the 1988 earthquake, they live in dormitories. The money is not enough to make something in the house, to do something, and I'm very upset that there is nothing at home, I get ashamed when someone comes in," said 21-year-old Karine, one of the children of the family. In these unfavorable conditions, Grigoryans raised four girls,: two sisters of Karine were already married, and the younger is still studying at school. The ceiling the house can collapse at any time if it the flow of rainfall will not be prevented. "I'm afraid that , maybe the roof falls on me when I sleep at night, and there's no place to move my bed," Karine says. World Vision Company has provided plates for repairing the roof, but Aghasi believes that they will not last long.
