EVERYBODY WANTS BUSINESS TO DEVELOP
Support A1+!International organizations have developed a report-study for business development, which has been introduced in “Congress” Hotel today. Calman Mikey, Deputy of UNO Secretary General and head of UNDP’ Regional Bureau on Europe and CIS, Karen Chshmarityan, Armenian Trade and Economic Development Minister and Arsen Ghazaryan, Chairman for “Union of Businessmen and Manufacturers” are the organizers.
Mr. Mikey stated with pleasure that climate of perfect harmony and mutual understanding prevails between Government and private businessmen in Armenia. We tried to find how the foreign official who had been to Armenia for 3 days managed to study the sphere and whether he was aware that many Government and Parliament representatives are in person occupied with private business or sponsor businessmen.
Mr. Mikey said that Government must not interfere in the activity of the private sector. He thinks Government must support development of the free market.
In this aspect remark of Arsen Ghazaryan was interesting. “Russia has gradually deviated from the principles of the commercial marketplace to meddling of Government in business, working out of standards by the state and restoration of authoritarian systems in the politics. Spreading of these processes must be prevented in Armenia”.
