Support A1+!The "Civic Sociaty Union" and the "Imprisoned and Arrested' Rights Protection" social organization representatives visited all the investigatory insulators of Armenia, talked to the investigators and the arrested. Only 4 of the 22 questioned investigators are not against the meetings.
The Parliament has already confirmed the law on "Maintenance of the arrested and imprisoned people". After the law is currently in force the imprisoners can be deprived of their meeting rights only by the investigators' decision. The investigator must substantiate on what grounds he divests the imprisoners of the meeting.
Lawyer Ruben Rshtuni notes that the meeting ban may become a way to force the imprisoners, to make them sign under the testimony. The investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Tatul Petrosyan assures that they don't abuse their position.
