THE OPENING OF MINE CLEARING CENTER
Support A1+!Today in Edjmiatsin a mine clearing centre was opened. Its aim is to clear especially the mined territories of Syunik, Noyemberyan, Lachin and Nagorno karabagh. At the humanitarian mine clearing centre the best American experts will hold classes to practise Armenian sappers.
Due to USA ambassador Jon Orduey this is done to protect Armenian nation and is not following any political purpose. To the question that whether the centre can turn into a basis for military subdivision in the future or not, both the Minister of Defence and USA ambassador gave a negative answer.
To the question if the foundation of the centre means the presence of America in Armenia and Armenian military forces, Serj Sargsyan answered, "The presence of America in Armenia has become vivid since the day of the USA Embassy’s foundation in Armenia". The Minister of Defence Serj Sargsyan rejected the presence of America in Armenian military forces.
