OPPOSITION PARTIES HOLD A RALLY IN GYUMRI
Support A1+!5, 000 people gathered Friday in the square of Armenian town of Gyumri to participate in the rally organized by opposition parties.
Leaders and members of 13 opposition parties spoke on the situation in quake-stricken areas in their speeches. They spoke about A1+ TV Company’s fate as well. “There is no a single media outlet in Armenia, which highlights problems of earthquake zone today, as they consider that the zone is already recovered”, said Member of Parliament Stephan Zakaryan, who is also Armenian People Party member. He asked rally participants if they think the areas are recovered. They unanimously answered “no”.
“Our pensioners have to do without pensions while the president goes on overseas tours and hungs out in the foreign countries. He has nothing to do with our country”, Ashot Manucharyan said in his quite tough speech. It needs no courage to walk with 200 bodyguards, he said.
Rally participants expressed their willingness to demand president's resignation in the rally scheduled for May10 in Yerevan, which expected to assemble people from all the regions of Armenia.
