Extremely high prices in Armenian hotels constitute considerable set-back for tourism development in the country. There is not a single hotel in Yerevan up to 5-star hotel standards. Genrikh Ter-Markosyan, director of «Zakinturtrans» company says low level of tourism in Armenia due to tourism agencies' wrong activity. To develop this area, not only government control over proper structure but also high-level professionals involvment is necessary, Ter-Markosyan says.
