AN ACCIDENT IN GYUMRI
Support A1+!An accident took place today in "Shirak" Hotel in Gyumri . As "Cayg" TV Company of Gyumri informs, at dismantling of the hotel a wall crashed down and the huge panel fell on the people. Workers Gevorg Asmalyan and Vaghinak Karapetyan fell down from the 9-th floor. There's no information about how they are now. The rescue groups of Yerevan and Stepanavan haven't found them yet. It may well be that they are not alive any more . Search is still carried out though there's danger the building will fall and people may find themselves under the ruins.
Dismantling works are carried out by the Emergency State Department. In past falls and victims were fixed because of the breakdown state of the hotel. The decision on "Shirak" Hotel dismantling was made long ago but the works weren't being carried out because of lack of finance.
