YOUNG PEOPLE WITH MALIGNANT DISEASES OF BLOOD SERVE IN THE ARMENIAN ARMY

Why do soldiers with malignant diseases of blood serve in the Armed Forces of Armenia?

13 soldiers under that diagnosis have been hospitalized from various military units of Armenia. Death cases were fixed

On July the 22-nd 19-year-old Ashot Khachatryan was first taken to hospital from one of Vanadzor’s military units, then to “Republican Center for Blood Transfusion after Professor R. Yolyan” under the same diagnosis. As the doctors say, his is in bad state of health . According to the Deputy Head of the Center, the soldier was diagnosed an “a-plastic anaemia” which is variety of malignant disease of blood .

Investigation is being held on the incident. But any fact on the case is given neither in the Republican nor Yerevan’s nor Gugark Province’s Military Office of Public Prosecutor .

A fact is being studied as a principal cause of the accident. About 2 months ago a soldier in one of Vanadzor’s military sectors was beaten unmercifully and violated by a certain officer Hro . Taking into account the morals in the Army, it may well be that the above officer is not called to account for it.

Anyway, full responsibility for all 13 cases rests with the Armed Forces of Armenia . If a blood disease is suddenly found at a soldier serving for a long time but not because of stress, there are 2 versions left to think over - either food is the pathogenic organism or young men already sick are called up for military service . The first points to lack of National Security system. The second one as well casts aspersions on competence of Armenian Armed Forces. If the young man was ill before being conscripted, so why it hadn’t been noticed by the examining doctors ?. Who is to answer for conscripting sick men ? What’s going on in the Armenian Army ? Does Army defend us or is it time to protect ourselves against the Army ?

By the way, Ashot Khachatryan had been called up as a young man with no kind of disease.
