COURT SUMMONS RELEASED IN NEWSPAPER

Hearing on A1+ and Noyan Tapan TV companies consumers’ suit against Armenian National Commission on Radio and Television is to start in law-court on August 21 at 11:00 a.m. local time. The court decision to suspend presiding judge Ruben Nersisyan from the case hasn’t been released.

This is the first time in the Armenian court system practice the third side – 712 consumers - has joined the key plaintiffs.

It isn’t yet clear why 712 plaintiffs were notified about coming hearing through brief report, placed in official newspaper “just like a commercial”, while Civil Code stipulates, that each plaintiff should be called to court by a special court summons.
