THE CO-SPEAKERS OF CE MONITORING GROUP IN YEREVAN
Support A1+!The execution process of Armenia's CE commitments will be discussed in September. The representatives of the monitoring group of CE Irene Belohorska and Jerzi Jaskerna are in Yerevan and are preparing for the report.
During the meeting with journalists the process of the licensing of radio and TV companies mostly interested the CE representatives. Belohorska and Jaskerna were informed that as a result of the licencing competition the TV company "A1+" was banned from the air. During the meeting with the journalists they were told that the authorities in Armenia hadn't performed enough actions to organise a new competition and to give an opportunity to "A1+" to participate.In particular, the promises given to the appropriate representatives of CE and OSCE concerning the conducting of licence tender in summer were not kept.
Becoming aware that the documents regarding "A1+" case are ready and will soon be sent to the European Court the co-speakers of monitoring commission of CE were pleased with it.
