Armenian government eventually turned its attention to the heat supply and worked out new strategy to deal with the problem. According to the strategy, counters should be installed in each building: a common one at the entrance and a separate one at each apartment. Each family will be able to consume as much heat as it can afford.

“This system is still imperfect. Taking in consideration the population financial insecurity, minimal consumer prices are to be set. But it can drive the system to the verge of financial crisis”, Deputy Finance Minister Meruzhan Mikaelyan said.

Answering the journalist question why the system isn’t on sale like Armenian Power Network, Mikaelyan said it would take at least 3 years to restore the system by buyer, as it is completely dilapidated.

It is worth to be added that the program won’t be put into reality for coming months. Deputy Minister says, it is to be implemented within 25 years.

So, our government sets plan ahead of a quarter of century.
