MAESTRO EXPATRIATED BY THE AUTOTRITIES CELEBRATES HIS 80-TH BIRTHDAY
Support A1+!Tomorrow the Russian people will mark by celebration the 80-th anniversary of Maestro Ohan Duryan . On that occasion he will head the concert of Moscow Symphony Orchestra on his jubilee and dedicate it to the memory of September 11 victims. But the Armenian public fond of music has been deprived of the pleasure to enjoy his music following the example of Culture Minister Roland Sharoyan .
"I'm offended. In any civilized country no one is treated the way I was by the Authorities of Armenia. It's a vandalism. I left the country like France to enjoy last years of my life in the homeland but I'll have to spend rest of my life in proscription. It's nothing but a crime by the Authorities " ,- Ohan Duryan said at the interview with us.
Maestro has a grudge against Armenian Authorities so that on the placards of Moscow he introduces himself as a French conductor . "I'm a citizen of France. I handed back my Armenian passport. Armenia is nothing for me any longer" ,- he says.
In spite of treatment of the Authorities, Armenian people love Ohan Duryan and congratulate him whose talent is appraised by Russian people.
