ARTASHES MEHRABYAN TURNED OUT NOT TO BE KIDNAPPED
Support A1+!"Abovyan" TV Company founder Artashes Mehrabyan turned out not to be kidnapped . He informed the Chair of Investigating Journalists' Union he was obliged to hide himself .
Edik Baghdasaryan, the Chair of the Investigating Journalists' Union introduced the journalists Artashes Mehrabyan's statement. According to Edik Baghdasaryan, Mehrabyan is not in Yerevan and wears a wig not to be identified . Artashes Mehrabyan says in the statement on September 6 at the editorial office of "Or" (Day)Newspaper 3 men approached him and threatened to make short work of his relatives and the TV Company employees if he didn't leave Abovyan within an hour and stopped the TV Company works untill the end of the elections of local government institutions . In the statement Artashes Mehrabyan assures he regards seriously the menace and says "it is done by the Abovyan Mayor's incitement" .
The latter announces it's a allegation, just an incident bearing no relation to Abovyan Municipality and Mayor .
Artashes Mehrabyan addressed a letter to Armenian president, Parliament Speaker, Ministers of Internal Affairs and National Security. He demands to stop persecutions against TV Company employees and him as well as to bring in a criminal action against Abovyan Mayor.
