MP SAMVEL AVETISYAN TESTIFIES UPON OCTOBER 27 TRIAL

MP announces his first testimony was given under stress . 3 months later he informed the preliminary inquest body he had phoned Jirayr Sefilyan of his own free will asking him to find Samvel Babayan.
Lawyer Ashot Sargsyan, Karen Demirchyan’s assignee thinks Samvel Avetisyan to have testified for the second time under evidence pressure after Jirayr Sefilyan and the defendants had already testified.
“Why were you trying to call Samvel Babayan while Hayk Babukhanyan and others more intimate to him refused to do that?” ,- the Lawyer asked. MP assures he thought at the moment only national hero Samvel Babayan could calm the terrorists and the people
He found difficulty in saying how Babayan would quiet the terrorists. He only repeated he does his best in order MPs’ lives were not endangered .
By the way, some circumstances on how Avetisyan had become a MP were cleared up after the Ashot Sargsyan – Samvel Avetisyan interrogation. It turned out Samvel Avetisyan became a MP after getting OK from Samvel Babayan. He even left for Karabagh for that and a 10 minute long conversation with Babayan. “He suggested me some finance but I refused. I don’t need any finances” ,- Samvel Avetisyan says.
