IT BECOMES A LUXURY TO BE AN ORPHANAGE CHILD
Support A1+!“There are 1200 orphans in Armenia” , Razmik Martirosyan, Armenian Minister for Social Welfare says.
According to him, for the first time Armenian Government envisages sums for social care of graduates of children’s homes . By the state budget 158 million drams are envisaged for solution to the problem next year.
Mr Martirosyan says the funding will apply to the persons, having left the orphanages since 1991. He also thinks some programs for orphanages’ graduates will be carried out by grant sums. Martirosyan thinks systematisation of orphanages facilitated their management and financing.
Nevertheless, the Minister apprehends new children’s homes may be established. He thinks the parents who don’t want to take care of their children, are to be assisted to. 923 million drams are planned by the state budget for orphanages financing, Minister says.
