TENDER WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED ON FEBRUARY 4
Support A1+!Radio and Television National Commission set date for broadcasting frequencies tender. Contenders’ proposals are to be opened and considered on January 31.
A1+ TV Company applied for 4 frequencies, which are now occupied by Yerevan TV, TV 5, Armen-Akob and Dar XXI companies. Noyan Tapan will be a challenger to EV company, which re-transmits CNN channel’s program. Winners are to be announced on February 4.
The Commission also declined five TV companies motions on giving back their tender proposals to make some changes in terms mentioned in their proposals. The companies say these changes need to be made because of tender delay. Neither A1+ nor Noyan Tapan joined the motion.
The Commission declined the motion saying it doesn’t come from the law and, besides, taking in account the fact that each frequency aspirant already knows who is his rival, nobody can ensure that content not to be altered.
