ORPHANAGE GRADUATES MAY HARDLY GET SUPPORT
Support A1+!“Let the orphanage graduates procure dwelling by their own salaries!” , this standpoint was made today at Ministry of Social Welfare, where the state program for providing orphanage graduates with living quarters.
The state budget has envisaged 200 million drams to implement “State Support to the Graduates of Trusteeship Organizations of Armenian Orphanages” program.
Armenian Minister of Social Welfare Razmik Martirosyan informed other problems, like professional orientation of graduates, provision of enough profit for main needs, medical aid, legal advise, will be included in the program .
Orphanage graduates will be inscribed in the program until they become 23. This year 55 graduates will receive services under that program.
Representatives and heads of state and private establishments and orphanages took part in project discussion. All of them introduced the number of children in orphan-asylums, the obstacles, stating there are serious problems demanding for state approach .
Education problem was dwelt on. Almost all the heads of orphanages voiced dissatisfaction with ill-disposed treatment of Education Ministry. The teachers of the schools where the children study display “special” attitude to them. Some of them label the orphans with degrading words .
