VICTIMS’ REPRESENTATIVES SENT OUT
Support A1+!Victims’ representatives Aramazd Zakaryan and Suren Surenyants were deprived of the opportunity to partake in October 27 trial. Judge Samvel Uzunyan not only prohibited their participation but also promised to appeal to the Office of Prosecutor to institute legal proceedings against them for having threatened the Court.
The reason was that Prosecutor Gagik Avetisyan suggested to read out the preliminary inquest testimonies of the case witnesses Tigran Nazaryan, Eran Ghazaryan, Hasmik Khachatryan, Angela Sahakova, Tigran Naghdalyan and Norayr Eghiazaryan.
The 2 latter ones are not alive. The first 4 witnesses are abroad and no one knows where they are, according to the reference of Yerevan IA Department. Uzunyan informed there’re no ways to call the witnesses back from abroad. Victims’ representatives Aramazd Zakaryan interfered, saying the witnesses could be brought before the Court if there was wish.
As a result of the heated quarrel Judge sent Zakaryan packing. After the break Suren Surenyants asked the Judge under what article of Criminal Code Zakaryan had been sent on his way. ”I’m leaving and time will show everything”, Surenyants said and left, too.
After showing the doors to the representatives the prosecutors started to quickly read the preliminary inquest testimonies of the witnesses abroad.
By the way, Aram Sargssyan’s advocate Oleg Yunoshev didn’t listen to the testimonies, either. The child of his interpreter had been ill, and through Surenyants Yunoshev had asked to postpone the trial for 2 days. His request was ignored.
The trial will continue on October 15.
