MASS MEDIA LAW IS STILL UNDER DISCUSSION
Support A1+!The Mass Media Bill passed by Armenian National Assembly on September 23 will take force after being signed by the republic president. It will be mass media regulating law. But not all the issues raised are settled yet. Discussions and round tables are still being held over the matter.
“The law was adopted and should be put in force… I agree with the bill authors, who say it isn’t so perfect. But I think it will be clear during enforcement what amendments exactly to be made to maintain balance between the community right to be informed and the state security. There are problems related to premature release of information that are still to be discussed”, Justice Ministry’s Press Secretary Ara Saghatelyan said at the discussion held today in Tekeyan Center.
