NAIRI HUNANYAN SPEAKING AT OCTOBER 27 TERRORIST ACTION TRIAL

Key defendant in the October 27 terrorist action trial Nairi Hunanyan said at today’s hearing that the trial serves victims’ and their heirs’ political interests.

Hunanyan said some victims gave false testimonies because of created atmosphere. “For example, Communication and Transport Minister Andranik Manukyan suppressed the fact that he had been familiar with me since 1990”, he said. “Don’t pronounce my name, beast!”, shouted Andranik Margaryan angrily from his seat.

Hunanyan doesn’t accept accusations of power weakening and seizing attempt. “I’ve taken arm to oppose rough force to give some impetus to people for defending their power”, he said.

Hunanyan will continue his speech at tomorrow’s hearing.
