”In 2004 the entrance in the Armenian Institutes of Higher Education will pass under 2-degree system, in other words, those who become students in 2004 will study 4 years to win a bachelor’s degree and 2 years for master’s degree”, Education and Science Minister Sergo Eritsyan informed the journalists after the report in Government.

Summing up ES Ministry activity, he said within 2003’ optimization program 35 schools were amalgamated, 3500 teachers were cut.

Last year 121 scientists were conferred upon a professor’s title and 276 became assistant professors.

PM had marked ES Ministry report as satisfactory.
