TV AND RADIO COMMITTEE STAFF MUST CHANGE
Support A1+!”TV and Radio National Committee members must be renewed and the election must be carried out by new order”, Ambassador Pietro Ago told this at the meeting with journalists. According to him, a more independent structure is needed to control the electronic media, in particular regarding “A1+” problem.
In 2002 May, 2 months after “A1+” was banned from air Mr Ago announced that the Armenian Authorities had promised him to solve “A1+” problem.
2 years later Mr Ago again announces he hopes that our Authorities will do their best to provide pluralism and to allot frequency range to “A1+”.
By the way, he didn’t hide that in this case CE has no key factors to influence on the Armenian Authorities.
Anyway, CE will keep reminding the Armenian Authorities about “A1+”.
