Land lessees staged a protest action Monday outside Yerevan municipality. Protesters say their plots in Dalma gardens are being taken from them and given for individuals and organizations for constructions. They say they made lease contract in 1994. Since then their families lived on earnings from farming.

Besides, the protesters insist that these gardens have historical and ecological significance for the city.

They demand to prolong the contracts term and give them an opportunity to privatize the plots.
