WILL DALMA GARDENS REMAIN OR NOT?
Support A1+!Ecological Social Bloc of Yerevan has today held public hearings over Dalma Gardens.
Representatives of Government staff, Armenian Culture and Youth Ministry, State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre, Yerevan Municipality, “Yerevan Project” Institute, were invited to the hearings.
”There aren’t fixed boundaries for Dalma Gardens. Either they are to remain as nature monuments, or will disappear”, Yerevan Architect-in-Chief Narek Sargssyan says.
Sargssyan said that renting of some areas of Dalma Gardens will continue till December 31, 2004, the deadline of the accord signed between renters and Armenian Government.
Renters are resolute. One of them told Government representatives: ”We won’t allow you to approach our gardens like you don’t let us approach the doors of your offices”.
