MAYOR VISITING YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY

Yerevan Mayor Ervand Zakharyan and Center Commune head Gagik Beglaryan visited Yerevan State University in connection with the 85th anniversary of YSU establishment.

YSU Rector Radik Martirosyan said YSU had numerous unsettled problems, major repairs in particular. According to him, the sport complex especially swimming-pool of YSU are in a bad state. “Large investments are necessary for that purpose. I am sure Mayor will help us”.

Mr. Martirosyan also stated YSU has a task to increase the education quality, too. “In the past we had to worry about creating and spreading knowledge while now we face a problem more complicated – the knowledge must serve the society”.

Mayor Ervand Zakharyan in his turn noted YSU is the first fiddle for development of economy in our country. “We will do our best to overcome the problems in University”, he said
