Rustavi-2 Georgian TV Company’s correspondents Nana Lezhava and Levan Tetladze, who was arrested September 3 in North Ossetian town of Beslan, released because no criminal charge wasn’t launched against them., the head of the TV Company Erosi Khirtsmarishvili said Wednesday at a news conference in Moscow.

The arrest of journalists sparked widespread reaction in Georgia. The republic president Mikhail Saakashvili and parliament speaker Nino Burdzhanadze officially demanded to free the detainees. Protest actions rocked the country, Regnum news agency reports.
