GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO WORRY ABOUT THE CONSUMERS

Social

Armenian Agriculture Ministry has suggested Government to make changes to the Law on “Foodstuff Safety”. Michael Grigoryan, head of Agricultural Re-cultivation and Foodstuff Safety Department of Agriculture Ministry, says henceforth the local manufacturers will be obliged to choose new regimes and new equipment for foodstuff production.

According to Mr. Grigoryan, if this plank had a place in the law passed in 1999, there wouldn’t be products of poor quality.

Grigoryan says concepts like fitness of a product, obligatory notices of production and expiry dates in Armenian are in the law.
