RUMORS ABOUT THE EARTHQUAKE ARE BASELESS
Support A1+!”Earthquake will occur in Armenia”. The rumor has been spread not only in Yerevan but also in the districts. Even the approximate time was mentioned. In some schools of Yerevan pupils have been sent to the houses.
According to the employees of “SP-Info” information service, the telephones of the service ring all the time. Everybody wants to know the telephone numbers of the seismic service. We appealed to Alvaro Antonyan, head of National Seismic Service to find out whether the rumors correspond to the reality.
”It is false information. People who wish to cause damage to our state and the nation spread it. I can’t label it other way. The rumors run counter to the facts. Our service controls the seismic regime. There is no need to get alarmed. There are no bases to circulate such kind of information”, he said.
