NOVEMBER 10 IS YOUTH INTERNATIONAL DAY

Today is the Youth International Day. It is not celebrated for the masses in Armenia. According to Atom Mkhitaryan, Chairman of Youth Club Bloc, it would be wiser if the organizations occupied with the issues of young people introduced today the problems of Armenia’s youth.
Recently Youth Club Bloc by support of UNO has established an expert group, which started studying the problems of young people. Under the study, the Armenian young people are mainly alarmed for unemployment, higher and informal education, political and social participation.
At the press conference on the 5th anniversary of establishment of YCB Mr. Mkhitaryan said during the 5-year-long activity the organization held more than 50 meetings, seminar-discussions, round tables and teaching programs on the problems of young people.
He also informed the Internet site of the organization will run soon and the young people will have an opportunity to represent their ideas and to partake in forums and discussions there.
YCB will keep cooperating with district youth organizations. It has been the member of Confederation of European Youth Clubs since 2001.
