SUIT HEARING POSTPONED
Support A1+!Suit of Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper’s correspondent Arman Galoyan filed against Armen Vardanyan was to be heard Monday in Center, Nork-Marash first instance court.
On September 23 a booth owner made an alarming phone call to the newspaper editorial board saying all booths located near one of the capital’s biggest supermarkets are being dismantled without any explanation.
Arman Galoyan went to the site to see the situation but barred from fulfilling his professional duty by Armen Vardanyan, one of the supermarket’s inspectors. The latter ripped out voice-recording device from the journalist’s hands and didn’t give it back.
Today defendant didn’t come to the court session. The judge decided to postpone the hearing for January 20. He said a summons would be sent to the defendant and if necessary, he would be brought to court compulsively and even taken in custody.
