“DON’T DEFAME THE HONOUR OF OUR ARMS!”
Support A1+!”Protection of Liberated Territories” social initiative has today addressed an open letter to Parliament Members and parties. Sending a 50-men group to Iraq will be discussed in Parliament tomorrow.
”I call everybody to vigilance at this decisive moment. Responsibility for sending hirelings to Iraq was imposed on Parliament.
No one can cite even one logical reason to substantiate why Armenia must be privy in the Iraqi gamble headed by USA and Great Britain Coalition. You know that there is no reason like that. You know that the Armenian people will more severely be punished for this gravest guilt than the other states. Armenian soldiers have never dishonoured their arms.
On behalf of all of them I demand the political figures – there is no need to pretend diplomats, ruse and cowardice are too little for it. Don’t dare defame the honour of our arms! Each MP, moreover, parties are obliged to do even the impossible to prevent ratification of this agreement. It’s the demand of the Armenian people now”, the letter says, which has been signed by Jirayr Sefilyan, Coordinator of “Protection of Liberated Territories” and Commander of Special Battalion in Artcakh War.
