A KIOSK IS NOT AN ILLEGAL BUILDING BUT ONE NOT PAID FOR

“We do not have large illegal buildings in the central parts of the capital”, Hrach Mouradyan, advisor of the mayor said today in the Yerevan municipality. He informed that there have been 26 thousand applications for legalizing illegal buildings.

“For the legalization of illegal buildings it is necessary to make a payment, say 50 thousand drams for an illegal garage”, said the advisor of the mayor. He also informed that 504 illegal buildings were deconstructed last year.

One of the journalists asked if the construction of the hotel on the Toumanyan street contradicting all the rural development norms is legal. “The large buildings which have made project mistakes, will correct them”.

But we are talking not about a project mistake but about an illegal building. “It is not an illegal building”, claimed the advisor of the mayor.

By the way, the press conference of the municipality was the first this year when the authorities of the capital did not condition the works done by Robert Kocharyan’s recommendation.
